Maine-ly New England….
John Lovejoy and I both grew up in Farmington, Maine. Over the years John has pursed a unique vision of capturing New England in watercolor. Weather it be his haunting birch tree world, “Spirits of Winter” [which I have up in my living room], or a peaceful summer scene such as “Road to Rome” John conveys a native’s love for New England. He also has a very playful touch as exhibited in his “Downeast Gothic” or “Three Pumpkins” paintings.
A sampling of his art [and those mentioned above] may be seen at his website. Both prints and originals are available. They make great gifts if your looking for something that shows that real New England feel.
